Open-book pricing

price = what it costs us + 10,000 sats per hat

We don't set a retail price and we don't add a percentage markup. When you check out, we:

  1. Ask our fulfilment partner what your exact basket costs to make and deliver to your address, including embroidery, shipping and any tax they charge us.
  2. Add the unavoidable cost of converting Bitcoin to pounds to pay them (currently 1.00%).
  3. Convert that total to sats at a live BTC/GBP rate.
  4. Add exactly 10,000 sats per hat. That's our profit.

You see every line before paying. The price is locked for 15 minutes. After that we fetch a fresh rate, so the price can move with Bitcoin, up or down.

Why sats?

Because that's the unit we think in. A fixed profit in sats means we don't earn more when the pound weakens or when shipping costs more, and we don't charge you more just because a hat costs more to make.

The honest caveats

Our 10,000 sats is exact at the moment you're quoted. What we actually keep can differ slightly. The rate may move before we convert, a supplier may change prices between your quote and your order, and replacements for lost parcels come out of our side. We absorb those differences. We never send you a second bill.
